AtomOne is a Layer 1 smart contract platform built on the Cosmos SDK and Tendermint consensus, designed to address the fragmentation and governance challenges within the Cosmos ecosystem. Positioned as a sovereign chain, AtomOne aims to provide a minimalist, secure, and governance-focused alternative to Cosmos Hub, targeting developers, validators, and institutional stakeholders seeking a more predictable and aligned economic model. Its emergence follows the contentious Atom 2.0 proposal, which sought to expand Cosmos Hub’s scope but faced resistance due to perceived misalignment with the original vision of a lean, interoperable hub. AtomOne’s value proposition lies in its commitment to simplicity, emphasizing a fixed-supply tokenomics model and a governance structure that prioritizes long-term sustainability over rapid expansion. Technologically, AtomOne leverages the Cosmos SDK and Tendermint BFT consensus, inheriting the modularity and interoperability that define the Cosmos ecosystem. The chain is designed to support smart contracts via CosmWasm, enabling developers to deploy decentralized applications while maintaining compatibility with the Inter-Blockchain Communication…
