MultiversX, previously known as Elrond, is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain designed to deliver scalability, security, and interoperability for decentralized applications (dApps) and enterprise use cases. The project addresses the blockchain trilemma—balancing scalability, security, and decentralization—by introducing an innovative architecture called Adaptive State Sharding. This dynamically partitions the network to optimize performance and efficiency.
