Baseline is a decentralized exchange infrastructure built on Ethereum, designed to serve professional market makers, institutional liquidity providers, and sophisticated DeFi traders. Unlike conventional automated market makers (AMMs) that rely on simple bonding curves, Baseline introduces a programmable liquidity layer that allows participants to define custom pricing algorithms, risk parameters, and execution logic. This positions the protocol as a hybrid between traditional order-book exchanges and decentralized liquidity pools, targeting users who require deeper control over trade execution without sacrificing the transparency and permissionless access of DeFi. The project’s emphasis on institutional-grade tools—such as gas-optimized smart contracts and composable liquidity modules—reflects its ambition to bridge the gap between centralized and decentralized trading environments, a niche that remains underserved in the current DeFi landscape. At its core, Baseline leverages a modular architecture called the Liquid Shader, which enables the deployment of custom liquidity strategies through on-chain scripts. These scripts, written in a domain-specific language, allow market…
